It's Saturday peeps and it's Bomber football time again. Can we sweep the Riders for the first time in forever?

Big implications here if we do. We'd be 7-4, and potentially just two games away from clinching a playoff berth. At least, I couldn't see us not making the playoffs if we finished 9-9, but don't know if that's ever happened before.

It's been slow going for Nichols and company today, and all news now is on Andrew Harris's injury. But I'll take that lead at the half.

Wish we had Tim Flanders activated today

Great that we won and hopefully Harris' injury is relatively minor. Realistically however I just don't see the Bomber's current level of play being competitive against the likes of Calgary, BC,, Ottawa or Edmonton.

Agree there is "something" missing compared with the teams mentioned but what is it ? Too dependent on Harris ,Medlock and Dressler ? Offence not scoring enough TD's ? Giving up too many easy completions to opposing QB's ? "Bend but don't break" is fine but not against the teams mentioned . Combine the last two games and I would say there was little difference between the "team" performances apart from some stupid decisions by Jones.
By the way, on his show MOS said he was tightening up the sideline coverage by the ST's.
Really ? Seemed to me Sask almost returned the missed kick in a similar manner to the first game.

I just don`t think we stretch the ball out enough and it does not keep a defense honest. Holes/seams just don`t open up much if you contain all the players within 15 yards from scrimmage. In all fairness too our receivers have been dropping easy catches. Kolhert was terrible yesterday.

It's typical PL game planning. He's too happy with FG's. As someone else has said, the threat of Harris, even if he doesn't get the ball ,should open up the downfield. Thank goodness we have Dressler who can get YAC. We'll need 21 Medlock FG's to counter BLM when we play Calgary.
One of the big things about this team is that they have cultivated great team spirit, they seem to be getting enjoyment from playing and MOS is gradually bringing back our old reputation so that players once again might actually want to come here.
