One of today's headlines: Jets' bottom line scores | Strong revenue means no need for NHL aid (http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/wfpfea ... 14985.html)

Not only did the Winnipeg Jets succeed in year one they won't be drinking from the leagues' revenue-sharing system. This from the team in the smallest market playing out of the smallest arena.

Kudos to TNSE and Winnipeggers in general. A GREAT season despite missing the play-offs this year.

Any other bold predictions from the resident trolls?

if bettman and fehr are so distraught over yet another lockout, why did the negotiations heat up just before the season's to begin? where were they months ago? along the same lines, why is it that a player who needs surgery does it just before training camp? i mean there's only so much fishing to be done during off-season, no?
